DoorDash partners with Foot Locker brands for delivery service - retail delivery partnership
DoorDash’s new partnership covers Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker, and Champs Sports across nearly 1,300 U.S. stores.

DoorDash has introduced a new retail delivery partnership that adds Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker, and Champs Sports to its marketplace. Effective immediately, shoppers can order athletic shoes, clothing, and accessories from nearly 1,300 U.S. locations through the DoorDash app, with same-day delivery. This expansion reflects a growing industry trend where third-party delivery platforms incorporate retail into their primary services, merging food delivery with broader everyday shopping.

The collaboration covers all three brands under the Foot Locker umbrella, giving customers access to everything from performance sneakers to team apparel for all ages. DoorDash reports that over 30% of its active U.S. users already purchase groceries and retail items on the platform, with tens of thousands of stores available. The company claims it became the top third-party marketplace for grocery and retail order volume in the U.S. last year, establishing itself as a leader in on-demand retail.

Mike Goldblatt, DoorDash‘s VP of Enterprise Business Development, described the partnership as part of its goal to streamline daily shopping. “We help consumers access local businesses—whether restaurants or retailers—and deliver those items straight to their homes,” he stated. The integration enables customers to order last-minute purchases like new sneakers or accessories without leaving their homes, utilizing DoorDash‘s existing delivery network.

Foot Locker prioritizes convenience for shoppers

For Foot Locker, the deal supports its focus on customer convenience. Melissa Krauss, the brand‘s VP of Strategy, emphasized that the partnership makes shopping for athletic gear “effortless and widely available,” especially for busy consumers who value speed. All three brands will be available nationwide on DoorDash, with no requirement for in-store pickup.

To encourage early adoption, the launch includes limited-time discounts. Through March 22, 2026, customers can save $25 on orders of $100 or more at Foot Locker stores and $20 on orders of $80 or more at Kids Foot Locker and Champs Sports locations. The retailers are also accessible via DashPass, DoorDash‘s subscription service that eliminates delivery fees on eligible purchases.

This is not the first time DoorDash has entered the retail delivery space. The company has gradually added grocery and general merchandise stores, aligning with shifting consumer expectations for quick, flexible shopping across product categories. Unlike rivals that specialize in food or groceries alone, DoorDash treats retail as an extension of its delivery model, prioritizing convenience over category restrictions. The Foot Locker partnership strengthens this approach, particularly for urgent purchases like sports equipment or back-to-school supplies.

How DoorDash reshapes retail delivery trends

The arrangement benefits customers by offering faster access to products while giving Foot Locker a new way to engage shoppers who prefer delivery over visiting stores. Physical locations remain important for trying on items and receiving personalized service, but the DoorDash integration adds another sales channel that leverages the platform’s delivery infrastructure. For DoorDash, the move broadens its retail presence beyond groceries, reinforcing its role as a full solution for daily needs.

Orders will be processed from participating Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker, and Champs Sports locations, with delivery times depending on distance. The brands’ online inventory will match what’s available in stores, preventing discrepancies between digital and in-person selections. Customers can refine searches by brand or product type, simplifying the process of finding specific items like running shoes or team jerseys.

Customers are not locked into long-term commitments, the discounts and DashPass benefits apply to one-time orders, though frequent buyers may find ongoing savings worthwhile. The promotion lasts until March 22, 2026, allowing consumers to test the service before the offer ends. For DoorDash, this partnership is the latest step in its retail expansion, which has already included major retailers like Walmart and Target.
