Lin’s Fresh Market celebrated the opening of its eighth store in Enoch, Utah, on Sept. 30, after a month-long launch that began with a public ceremony. Local students, community leaders, and company officials gathered for the event, which followed the store’s soft opening on Sept. 21. Lines formed hours before the 48,000-square-foot location welcomed its first customers, marking the chain’s first ground-up construction project in more than a decade.

The new store includes a pharmacy, Starbucks, Arctic Circle, and BreadBot, alongside fresh produce, a from-scratch bakery, full-service grocery and deli sections, and a butcher block. Next door, a 17,000-square-foot Ace Hardware opened on Sept. 14, further strengthening retail options in Iron County.

The outdoor ceremony featured performances by Southern Utah University’s ROTC, Canyon View High School students singing the national anthem, and Enoch Elementary School children leading the Pledge of Allegiance. Elizabeth Barnett, communications lead for Associated Food Stores, hosted the event.

During the ceremony, Greg Welling, VP of Associated Retail Operations, announced $2,000 donations to both Canyon View High School and Enoch Elementary School. He noted the store’s deep community roots, explaining that Lin’s began in Iron County over 70 years ago with its first market in Cedar City, Utah, in 1955. The chain operates under Associated Food Stores, a Salt Lake City-based cooperative.

Store Director Rochelle Mellor introduced the leadership team and described years of planning behind the project. “Our team has worked hard to create a welcoming neighborhood store where families can find quality products, friendly service and a connection to their community.”

The Enoch location represents a strategic shift for Lin’s, moving from a decade of renovations to new construction as part of its expansion plans.

The store will operate under Associated Retail Operations, the corporate division of Associated Food Stores, overseeing the chain’s growth across Utah. Its full-service offerings, including pharmacy and specialty sections, establish it as a key retail hub for the region.
